Verson (4/2024):

Mary-Alice is a multi-talented comedian: writer, stand-up, improvisation, sketch and character performance. Originally a stand-up in San Francisco, she played the famous Purple Onion Comedy Club in her first year. Her second year saw her playing every comedy club in the city (Cobb’s, Punchline, Tommy T’s) and returning to the PO for her first 35 minute headlining set. Encouraged by a William Morris talent scout, she moved to New York City to study improv and sketch. Trained at the People’s Improv Theater, with founder Ali Farahnakian, she became a member of their House Team program for years. Mary-Alice is dynamic and animated on stage, warm and genuine off stage - leaving an indelible impression that gets her cast. Chosen as a primary in an off-Broadway improvised play (Overheard at Joe’s), and the only cast member flown-to-set, in Chicago, for an award winning short film (Dingus Wishes by Elvira Ibragimova); she brings an energy that directors want and audiences crave. Her first one-woman show (Sexodus) played to sold-out crowds for its debut and first run, finished a second run before the pandemic hit, and is in production as a book. Her second one-woman show (Grey Haired Waitress) sold out its debut also - indicating audiences want what she’s creating, after just 5 years in New York City. Her work is built on two pillars: entertain and empower. Watch her monthly, at Public Victories and you’ll see…
